Indulge in farm to table dining from a choice of great Shoalhaven restaurants such as The Butterfactory Restaurant in nearby Pyree, The Little Snapper at Culburra, South on Albany in Berry or The Gunyah Restaurant in Huskisson to name a few. Our local favourite takeaway is Pizza by Pietro - Wood Fired Pizza Food Truck - yum! And that Italian hand-made pasta, delizioso! Welcome to our newbie in town, Something Seafood.

Be Callala adventurous & order online Indigenous Twist Platter from Mirritya Mundya. The authentic home-made bread is mouth-watering!

A short drive to Greenwell Point and you can shuck some Jim Wild Oysters.

Sip tea & devour home-made scones with jam and cream at Cambewarra Mountain Lookout, for spectacular views of the Shoalhaven Region just 20 mins by car from Nowra.

Explore the growing South Coast wine trail with it's 16 cellar doors, recognised with over 1000 Australian and International Wine Awards. On your way down the South Coast just before Nowra, stop at Two Figs Winery for some wine-tasting while enjoying the stunning views of the Shoalhaven River and surrounds. Our favourite is the Sticky Fig! 😉

Jervis Bay Beaches & Bushwalks

For a day trip you can visit the Botanic Gardens or Hole in the Wall at Booderee National Park.

Booderee National Park is owned by and is the home and spirit of the Wreck Bay Aboriginal Community. It is a very significant place for the Koori people, containing many traditional foods and medicines, sites of great importance and ancient campsites and middens that tell the story of the generations of Koori ancestors who lived sustainably in these lands and waters. All plants, animals, life on rock platforms, timber and soil in Booderee National Park are protected.

We spent our first summer family holiday at Hazelwood Beach House and loved every minute of it! The house itself was a delight and had every possible amenity one could ask for. The location was very convenient to the beach, where we went everyday and we were also able to explore the neighbouring areas and beaches. I highly recommend staying and I would definitely go back!

Dan & family

Our two night stay at Jervis Bay was wonderful! The house is beautiful and perfect for a family getaway like ours. Everything was exceptionally clean and it was so so close to the beach for morning/late arvo walks! The location allows for easy exploring of the nearby towns. Overall a fantastic stay and we will be back 🙂 x

Thank you for the little touches that made our stay special. This is a beautiful home that really does feel like a home away from home. The position is lovely and quiet while the home itself is state of the art. We will return and recommend it highly. Thanks again for the very attentive and generous service to the owners/managers of Hazelwood Beach House.

We’ve travelled to Callala before and it never disappoints. We booked Booderee Townhouse directly on this website. The accommodation is private, brand new and extremely spacious, and having the kangaroos on the front lawn in the morning just topped our weekend away. Luxurious holiday home, great amenities just wish we could stay a bit longer.

Alana, Mick & family

We had a fabulous week at Hazelwood Beach House which was the hottest week in NSW history! (2010) The house kept very cool all day and made the most of all those coastal breezes. The kids loved the big rooms, proximity to the beach and indoor pool. When it was too hot for the beach the pool was a great alternative. The house is very easy to live in and has everything you could possibly need including cooking utensils and ingredients.

Thank you for sharing your slice of paradise with us. We all had an awesome time (15 month old, 17/18 year olds, 21 year old and 2 that are a lot older!). Having holidayed at Hyams Beach a lot in the past I am now converted to Callala Beach. Thank you.

Fiona & family

Our extended family (3 generations) spent Christmas here and had an absolutely splendid time! The house is beautifully designed and quite spacious, with plenty of room for our 3-year old to run around and play! The kitchen is well equipped, and we had a blast cooking large family meals both inside as well as out on the BBQ. And the location!! Just a short stroll to the pristine white sands of Callala Beach, perfect for building sand castles during the day or for hermit-crab hunting at dusk. One of our best holiday experiences to date, I am missing it already and want to go back.

Kate & family

Just a quick note to say we had a great time down at the beach house. What a beautiful place! And it had everything we needed plus more. The location is close to the beach and the swimming pool across the house was really handy (we had it all to ourselves all weekend). The kids had a great time too. Would definitely come back again! Thank you so much!

Thank you for making our stay at Hazelwood Beach House a superb one. I would definitely recommend it to friends/family and I will be staying here on my next trip to the South Coast. The property’s location was secluded enough and just a short stroll to the beach. The house itself was amazing on so many levels, the architectural design was fascinating and made the most of it’s natural features. It was more than large enough to accommodate two couples on a romantic getaway. It has all you could ever need and more in regards to AV, cooking utensils and equipment and great attention to detail with little surprise luxuries. I found the manager of the property a pleasure to deal with and every requirement was exceeded. Thanks again and see you soon!

The house was amazing. We have stayed at a lot of beach houses and we were amazed at how much this house had. It had everything we needed from toiletries to spices, even kids toys and food containers! The house is very close to the beach but most of our time was spent at the pool house. There’s nothing bad I can say about the house except for having to leave. We would love to come back and would definitely recommend this house!

Catherine & family

Absolutely recommend! Very impressed with the host and the house. Perfect for a weekend getaway. 10/10.

Lana & friends

We spent a magical week at Hazelwood Beach House. Incredible house and so close to an amazing beach, with fantastic day trip options scattered around the Jervis Bay region. Can’t recommend it enough for a real getaway and recharge of the batteries. Thank you Vesna!

Silvia & family

Had a magnificent stay. House was well located, close to beach and very relaxing and when we get time we will be staying here again!!

My fiancee and I visited Hazelwood Beach House for my birthday last week and I can’t recommend it highly enough. The location is relaxing and peaceful. The design of the house is stunning and there is so much room to lay around and read a book, listen to music or sit outside on the balcony with a good glass of wine. The beach is one street from the property and you can walk along the sand for miles. We encountered some gorgeous wildlife on our visit and despite the rain managed to swim in the indoor heated pool which was a great bonus. I look forward to my second visit in September with some friends!

We would highly recommend this property as immediately we were able to relax in style. We were impressed by the quality of all the furniture and the beautiful design of the home. We appreciated the way in which all adults and children were able to be entertained and therefore could really relax.

Hazelwood Beach House is a truly beautiful home in a perfect location – an easy walk to Callala beach and a short drive to the other lovely beaches the South Coast has to offer. Even though we didn’t have perfect weather, we enjoyed every minute inside this impeccably designed house. Every aspect was thoughtful – the coffee and wine provided, the appliances and comfortable furnishings. Vesna was excellent to communicate with, prompt and always helpful. The sunrise from the deck was a magical way to start each day. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Ross & family

The house was perfect! Great location and very clean. Vesna’s home was like a home away from home. Highly recommended.

Daniela & friends

Really gratefully to the owners of this fantastic property, everything went really well, really smooth transaction, really clear and prompt communication for the lead up to our stay. The house is very easy to live in and has everything you could possibly need including cooking utensils and ingredients. The place is very clean, modern, close to the beach (you can hear the waves from the front balcony at Hazelwood Beach House) and a short drive to shops. We will definitely be back next year if not sooner!

Had a great weekend in this fantastic house. Very well appointed. Location is very quiet and a little out of the way which was great for a quiet weekend. A few minutes walk to the beach was just ideal! Thank you for making Easter very enjoyable!

Jason & family

Thank you for a wonderful weekend in such an amazing house. Everything we wanted was on hand and more! The kids loved the beach and even “their” bedroom and your attention to detail to make our stay comfortable will see us back for another stay.

We loved our stay at Hazelwood Beach House. The owners left lovely touches including luxury toiletries, coffee machine and capsules and chocolates and champagne on arrival. They were also so helpful and friendly. The designer furnishings and style of the property is so sophisticated and aesthetically gorgeous also and the bathroom downstairs is perfect for post-beach showers. The sound system and dvd set up was also fantastic. Only a two minute walk to the beach down a lovely bush path and across the road from the indoor-heated swimming pool we were perfectly placed to enjoy swimming whatever the weather. Highly recommend staying in this designer home.

Nicole & family

Extraordinary house! Modern and inviting, very well appointed kitchen and spacious ensuite bathrooms. Comfortable beds, fluffy towels, and a warm fireplace that did well to keep us toasty on a chilly long weekend. The house is part of an Estate and the trees have been left behind to create a lovely oasis. Quick walk to the spectacular beach, or across the street to the heated indoor swimming pool. This is a beautiful part of Jervis Bay. The local shops have everything you need but you won’t want to leave the house! We’ll be back!

Trish & family

From the outstanding design and detail of the house, to the surroundings of the nearby white sandy beach, this is a must for a stress free and memorable vacation. The spacious and open plan living areas make it a comfortable place to be even when the weather is not favourable. Everything we could have needed was provided and the only regret was bringing too many items! We highly recommend this place and thank the owners for the opportunity to stay at their home.
