Jervis Bay Marine Park, Bush & Beaches
Great nearby picnic and swimming areas you can enjoy include Callala Bay, Callala Beach, Red Point, Hare Bay, Bindijine Beach, Long Beach, Cabbage Patch Beach, Green Point, Wilsons Beach and Honeymoon Bay.
You can go for bushwalks through Jervis Bay National Park, a natural sanctuary of sand forests, eucalypt woodlands and beaches with powder-white sand. It’s also home to abundant wildlife and important Aboriginal cultural conservation sites.
For a day trip you can visit the Botanic Gardens or Hole in the Wall at Booderee National Park.
Booderee National Park is owned by and is the home and spirit of the Wreck Bay Aboriginal Community. It is a very significant place for the Koori people, containing many traditional foods and medicines, sites of great importance and ancient campsites and middens that tell the story of the generations of Koori ancestors who lived sustainably in these lands and waters. All plants, animals, life on rock platforms, timber and soil in Booderee National Park are protected.

The Shoalhaven Regional Gallery in Nowra is worth a visit, also Jervis Bay Maritime Museum & Gallery in Huskisson. Make sure you do the nearby scenic walk called the Mangrove Walk.

Go bike-riding along the flat pathway from Callala to Myola where you can board the Husky Ferry with your complimentary bikes to take you to bustling Huskisson and enjoy Captain Dave's music radio hits on your cruise! Continue from Huskisson to Vincentia and explore the other pretty local beaches.
Family fun day is a must by the spectacular Shoalhaven River or Shoalhaven Zoo and Trees Adventure in North Nowra, well worth exploring.
Hike to the summit of Pidgeon House Mountain on the Budawang Range situated in Morton National Park. The return hike takes 2-3hrs and is 5.6km. The mountain was named by Captain Cook as he sailed past in 1770.
If you can't resist some shopping the country township of Milton is a picturesque road trip south and a nice day out to explore the 19th century heritage buildings, antique stores and markets. Popular Berry is a 30min drive north.
